agelss-skin-care The Perfect New Beautiful Skin GuideWho does not want a perfect body and face? Face is a very important aspect of one’s persona. It is essential to have good skin in order for your face to look as pretty as a picture. Everyone dreams of having rosy cheeks and the perfect complexion. It is true that not everyone can be measured by the same cup, because God had made every individual different and some might not be as beautiful as others. What one can do is appreciate what you have been gifted with and do what you can to make the best out of it.

One must take care of the skin type, before choosing the products of beauty enhancement. If you tend to have dry skin, you must go for those products that contain essential moisturizers such as plant and fruit oils. That will prove a help in restoring the skin’s water levels and making it completely hydrated. Those people, who have oily skin, should be using products which are perfect in the oil balance and help to rid the skin of excessive oils. It is generally believed that if a person has oily skin, one must wash the face more often, so that it removes excessive oils from the surface of the skin. This is not very true, it is actually a misconception. Excessive washing of the oily skin sometimes motivates the oil glands to produce more sebum in this manner to accelerate acne growth.

Those people who have combination skin and sensitive skin should be more careful of what is touching their skin as they are more complicated to deal with. People with such fragile skin must always be careful in choosing beauty products and conducting a patch test before completely believe in the qualities of the skin.

Is It Difficult To Get Beautiful Skin?

July 10, 2010 by vivowriter · Leave a Comment

acne-free-face-150x150 Is It Difficult To Get Beautiful Skin?Everybody strives to disclose celebrity secrets to beautiful skin. Every person on this planet yearns for a truly flawless skin. If you think you read somewhere that home beauty secrets do not work, cross out that notion. It is baseless. Actually, home beauty secrets have no match! We all know that ‘Beauty is skin deep’ but that does not free us from making efforts to enhance our beauty. A beautiful skin is a healthy skin and as such everyone must work on adequate skincare.

Stress is the biggest enemy of your skin. As the level of stress hormones in the body increases, there is a counter increase in oil production. This excessive oil production may later cause a thousand more problems in the shape of pimples, blackheads and other severe forms of acne. The same is applicable to smoking. Excessive smoking causes lungs to pack up. Yes, intense smoking throws up beauty problems as well. As a result of continuous smoking, wrinkles begin to develop all around the mouth. Resultantly, the skin becomes dull and lifeless. Exfoliation of skin is therefore indispensable. When skin exfoliation is carried out in a methodological way, it helps to scrap off the outermost dead skin layer.

There are many skin products available in the market these days that promise instant beauty. While many of these may be genuine beauty products, there are many that are purely sham. The best part is that all beauty products self proclaim to be harmless. If that be, why do some people complain of certain products? Why do some people develop allergies post their usage? The golden rule is – Let the buyer beware!

Skin aging is inevitably a process that seems to speed up because of the many elements of toxins produced by the modern age. These toxins are like poisons that attack our body and cause the skin to develop nasty acne and inflammations, which can be very tough to reduce of if not properly treated. If you are not careful of your daily lifestyle, a bad skin condition can worsen and speed up the development of skin aging, resulting in drying, sagging, and skin wrinkling.

The good news is there are many ways to treat skin aging problems today. Anti-aging treatments and creams are encapsulated to contain many vitamins and nutrients known to be very beneficial to the skin. With the help of these products, it is possible to alleviate skin problems as well as avoid undergoing delicate and sometimes complex dermatological procedures such as botox, dermabrasion or laser treatments.

Dermabrasion is one of the widely acknowledged anti-aging treatment and is used to speed up removal of wrinkles, lines and abrasions. Microdermabrasion is another kind of anti-aging treatment which uses fine crystal mists to work on sagging, wrinkling skin. Hydroderm also makes it possible to delay the aging process by removing skin lines associated with aging. All these treatments can be easily acquired nowadays and are known to be effective and safe for almost every skin type and color.

But before you resort to these harsher anti-aging treatment procedures, that there are simpler things you can do to delay the appearance of wrinkles.  The first step is to implement a regular skincare routine as early as possible. A good daily routine and a healthy lifestyle can always hide your true age and never let them guess how old, or young, you are.

• Follow these three regular routine: cleanse, tone, and moisturize your face skin. On your body skin, follow the same and use a good moisturizing lotion. Applying sun screen or sun block will also help prevent those outside toxins from ruining your skin. Weekly facial mask treatments (depending on your skin type) are also an excellent way to keep your skin fresh and revitalized.

• The appearance of the skin on your neck shows your age. Therefore, be sure to not only pay attention to your face but on your neck when moisturizing or using a face mask.

• Avoid applying heavy make up on your face. It only shows how frustrated you are with the process of your skin aging, not to mention it can be tough on your skin too. Choose cream based blush cheek color or foundation rather than a fine powdered one that can accentuate wrinkles.

• Topping dusty or caramel pinks with gloss will make your lips appear much younger. Avoiding deep brown mauves and matte reds will also help the same. You will also get benefits of looking younger if you avoid black eyeliners. Use instead brown or grey eyeliners.

• You will appear younger if you use colored plastic eyeglasses than metal framed ones.

• Having well-shaped and arched eyebrows might not sound significant,  but it is if you want to take years off your face. Medium thick eyebrows are always a good choice if possible.

• When getting a new haircut, always opt for one that will frame your face well. Bangs (or fringe) are a great way to reduce the number of years as well as looking cute and fun!

• And most importantly, quit smoking. We all know it is one of the great contributors of aging. Try for a healthier diet and lifestyle and you will worry less over wrinkles and lines attacking too soon.

Natural Skincare Products and Benefical Herbs

Natural skin care healing is the preferred way of restoring health back to the skin. The human body is enveloped by the largest organ of the body. Our skin provides protection for our skeletal system, internal organs and muscles. Additionally, it is the first line of defense against infections. The skin is also a complex system that allows for perspiration which in turn evaporates. This evaporation process maintains the body’s temperature.

In addition, our skin has the capability of absorbing substances that are good for us as well as those substances that are detrimental to our health. Some skin care products that we utilize contain harmful additives and unnatural ingredients that can cause adverse side affects and damage the structure of the skin. Also, with the capability of the skin to absorb, these toxins enter into the bloodstream and affect other organs of the body.

In the light of this knowledge, it is important that we lavish our skin with those natural skin care healing ingredients and products that serve to replenish and nurture our skin.  Therefore, it is important to understand what your current health care product contains and what you should look for in a natural skin care healing product.

What Do You Use For Your Current Skin Care Product?

When purchasing your skin care product it is advisable to review what the mixture is blended with. Most skin care products begin with the ingredient of mineral oil.  Unfortunately, the texture of mineral oil is thick. This consistency is counter productive as it clogs the pores of the skin. Mineral oil can also cause the skin to be irritated allowing the product to be more harmful than productive.

On the other hand natural skin care healing products, containing natural ingredients such as oils from natural herbs or flowers, are beneficial. Natural skin care healing products, made from this lighter oil, allows the skin to absorb the wholesome nutrients.

Some Common Herbs And Their Natural Healing Benefits

Some common herbs contained in natural skin care healing products include the aloe vera.  This herb will refresh skin that has been damaged by direct exposure to the sun, inhibit scarring and wrinkling and encourage cell reproduction.

Another beneficial herb found in a natural skin care healing product is chamomile. Not only used as blend for tea, but outwardly, when applied, will stimulate the natural healing process, decrease redness and puffiness and will make the skin soft.

Lavender is also a healing herb that is blended into a natural skin care healing item.  Lavender stimulates healing of the skin especially in cases where the skin has imperfections. Additionally, lavender brings a soothing effect upon burned areas of the skin.

One additional herb, out of many, is the rose. This herb, found in a natural skin care healing, mixture provides a soothing effect upon the skin. Also the rose herb purifies and cleanses the skin as well as providing moisture.

If you can incorporate these healthy, vitamin rich foods into your daily diet, you can be assured of gorgeous, radiant, beautiful skin.

Everyday skincare for dry, wrinkled or sun-damaged skin

October 31, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment

Many of us, women especially, can relate to the phrase, “I just don’t have the time.” Conversely, if you grew up in any generation or location that frowned upon wearing makeup or using ‘beauty products’ as ‘unnatural’, you might have recently had second thoughts as those lines began to show a little too much, or those dark spots were just getting darker.

You have lived long enough to know “beauty isn’t everything,” but the truth is, when it starts to fade, boy, does it sure seem more important!
Regardless of the circumstance that finally brought you to shock the last time you looked in the mirror, the good news is; there are always second chances when it comes to taking care of your skin.

The older you are, the more important it is to get started with a quality skin care regimen.

Three simple steps can aid your skin back the face you knew yesterday. You might have heard this before, but here it is again…just in case you need a refresher.

1. Cleanse - but gently. Too many professional skin care products strip your facial skin of the natural elements it needs to keep your skin soft and supple. Using a mild cleanser with a very light, delicate scent that won’t leave your face feeling tight and dry. For damaged, wrinkled skin, a moisturizing cleanser or cream cleanser is best.

2. Exfoliate - Many exfoliating products using sand or walnut shells can be too harsh to use daily - try to find a gentle exfoliating product – a natural clay or organic oatmeal. Natural skin care products tend to be less irritating and will not only exfoliate the grime and pollution of the day from your delicate facial skin, they also moisturize, soften, and increase your body’s collagen and antioxidant production.

3. Moisturize - Use a dry skin care anti aging lotion each morning after cleansing. Excellent high quality moisturizers not only replace vital moisture in your face but leave it soft and smooth. Additional moisture will also supplement the antioxidants your skin needs to produce to stay looking healthy and young. If you use an SPF of in your moisturizer or foundation, it will also help protect your face from sun damage throughout the day.

One more thing…

The goal of your skin care routine is to address wrinkles, dark spots and dryness with products that deliver lighting, moisturizing and anti-wrinkle ingredients.
It’s not enough to get a facial to keep your skin clear and beautiful. You need to have a great home skin-care routine. I never hurts, to get a professional facial to deep cleanse your skin at least four times a year, as the seasons change. Every 4-6 weeks is ideal. But please, throw away the grocery-store soap and use quality skin care products that are right for your skin type. Also, if it still has to be said, wear sunscreen, even on cloudy days and in the winter. Use a good quality, high-SPF sunscreen. Sun damage is the single most important cause of premature aging. Last, if you have a tendency to engage in skin-damaging habits like smoking, excessive drinking, and tanning booths, please try to reduce or eliminate these habits altogether.

Remember, you want your skin to reflect and shine the beauty that we know you already are on the inside. Make all those years of wisdom and experience show on the outside as well.

Making Facial Masks at Home

October 1, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment

Spending a bomb to buy a facial product with claims of having all natural ingredients for beautiful skin and having drastic results on its usage is very depressing for any beauty conscious woman. We see wide varieties of cosmetics available in supermarkets, department stores, health food stores as well as internet and TV.

Not everybody has the same skin type. What product works on your friend’s skin, might not work for you and vice versa. If you buy a product for your skin type, it could have adverse effect as there could be some chemical or ingredient which could cause a reaction on your skin. Moral of the story - “Not all cosmetic products work well for everyone’s skin”.

Cosmetics labeled as having “natural ingredients” do contain some amount of artificial chemicals or elements. With over priced cosmetics made from natural ingredients, many people have started preparing beauty products at home. Making a facial mask at home with all the ingredients available in the kitchen is quite easy and inexpensive.

- Create a salon like atmosphere while doing a facial at home. Ideally they tie your hair in high ponytail or make you wear a band around head. Choose to do what ever you feel comfortable about.

- Start by splashing tepid water all over your face. Massage your face gently with water. Repeat it twice or thrice and let your face air dry.

- While your face is still damp, massage vitamin E on your face. Let your face soak the oil for 5 minutes or so. Use a mild soap to remove the oil from your face.

- Again splash your face with water at room temperate. Repeat it for 2 or 3 times. Avoid towel drying your face.

- Next make your facial mask. Blend 1 egg white or fresh Aloe Vera juice of same quantity, 2 tsp vegetable oil and 1 tsp pure apple juice in a clean bowl.

- Dip your hands in the facial mask and apply the mask to your skin. Start with your chin, move upwards and then outwards skipping the area around the eyes and lips.

- Now you have to just sit back and relax. Cover your eyes with wet cotton balls or cucumber pieces. The mask has to dry completely. An ideal time for a small nap.

- Mask takes anywhere from 20 - 30 minutes to dry. You feel your skin tightened when the mask is dry. Splash water all over face and gently remove the mask with light massage strokes on your face. Continue doing this till your face is cleared of the entire home made facial mask. Let your face air dry.

Use this home made facial mask once or twice a week or depending up on the time you have on hand. You will feel fresh and have much younger looking face all the time.
